Unit 21, 35 và 45 đã cho bạn từ vựng về truyền thống, lễ hội và toàn cầu hóa. Unit này đi vào chỗ mà đề IELTS thật sự phân loại thí sinh: cách LẬP LUẬN về văn hóa. Ba ý làm nên band 7.5. Thứ nhất, văn hóa không phải một vật thể giữ nguyên vẹn được — mọi truyền thống đều từng là cái mới, nên nói “gìn giữ” tức là đang chọn đóng băng ở một thời điểm, và nên nói rõ thời điểm nào. Thứ hai, du lịch vừa biến nghi lễ thành hàng hóa vừa là thứ trả tiền cho nghề đó sống, và câu trả lời nghiêm túc phải giữ cả hai vế. Thứ ba, một ngôn ngữ mất đi trước cái chết của người nói cuối cùng đúng một thế hệ — lúc cha mẹ thôi truyền lại.
