Unit 4 đã cho bạn từ về các phòng trong nhà; unit này bước ra ngoài cửa: kiểu nhà, khu phố, hàng xóm và chuyện thuê – mua. Đây là chủ đề Speaking Part 1 ruột ("Describe your home / your neighbourhood") và cũng hay vào Task 2 dưới dạng nhà ở đô thị. Ở band 4.0–4.5, lỗi hay gặp là dùng "live in" cho mọi thứ, nhầm "house" với "home", và mô tả khu phố chỉ bằng "good" hoặc "bad". Unit này cho bạn tính từ và cụm để nói cụ thể hơn: residential, overcrowded, within walking distance.
