check in / check out = làm thủ tục nhận/trả phòng (khách sạn, sân bay); set out/off = khởi hành; take off = (máy bay) cất cánh; drop off = cho ai xuống xe / thiu thiu ngủ; pick up = ghé đón; see off = tiễn ai; catch up with / keep up with = bắt kịp / theo kịp; go away = đi nghỉ.

Collocation & Word patterns

Ghi nhớ cả cụm: go sightseeing, see the sights, plan a route, lose/find your way, speed limit, go on a trip / business trip. Chú ý mẫu câu đi kèm giới từ: keen on sth nhưng keen to do; arrive in/at a place; regret doing (tiếc việc đã làm) khác regret to tell (tiếc phải báo tin). Nắm word patterns giúp bạn viết đúng ngữ pháp và tự nhiên hơn.
