Từ chỉ thời gian + hiện tại đơn cho tương lai

Sau các từ như after, as soon as, before, until/till, when, while, ta dùng thì hiện tại đơn để nói về tương lai, KHÔNG dùng will hay be going to. Mệnh đề chính vẫn dùng will.

Ví dụ: I'll call you as soon as we solve the problem. Có thể đưa các từ này lên đầu câu: As soon as we solve the problem, I'll call you.

Although (mặc dù)

Although diễn tả sự tương phản, theo sau là một mệnh đề (chủ ngữ + động từ). Ví dụ: Although my homework was difficult, I finished it.

In spite of / Despite (mặc dù)

Hai từ này nghĩa giống nhau, theo sau là danh từ hoặc V-ing, KHÔNG phải cả mệnh đề. Ví dụ: Despite my revision / In spite of revising, I didn't do well.

However (tuy nhiên)

However nối hai câu, thường đứng đầu câu thứ hai và có dấu phẩy: We were sure. However, we were wrong.

Unless (trừ khi)

Unless = if … not (nếu không). Ví dụ: Unless you hurry up, we'll be late.

Tổng điểm: 0/40
